Our Four Arrows
The Meaning Behind the Name
Our 4 arrows.
The meaning behind the name.
But it’s more than that.
One day, these children will leave our home, like four arrows shot out into the world, and it is not just our responsibility to raise them for a few years. It is our God ordained duty to train them up.
It is not that our entire lives revolve around our children, rather, our entire lives revolve around the central idea that everything we build in our home and in our lives is done with a desire to honor Jesus Christ. Using the Bible as our compass. Training our children with intentionality. Protecting, not forsaking, our first ministry of the home – that includes in our business.
chisel the point of arrows
May it be a constant reminder that the directions we choose…the relationships we forge, the character and integrity in which we build, work, and live our every day lives will chisel the point of the arrows of which we will one day shoot out into the world. And then into eternity.
In a culture that views children as a distraction from success, that has cast off the charge to rear up and TRAIN the next generation, I want that first high calling woven into every fiber of everything we do.
“Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it. Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward. As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth. Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them…” – Psalm 127:1, 3-5
